Chris Havlicek’s Home State Votes on Conversation Amendment

Florida, Chris Havlicek’s current home state, is home to plenty of wildlife, wetlands and natural environments like the Everglades. Today, on voting day, Florida residents will vote on Amendment One. The amendment would use real estate taxes to buy and maintain lands that would help sustain conversation efforts.

According to the Everglades Foundation‘s CEO, we’re wasting “billions of gallons of fresh water every year.” Amendment One could help filter out water pollution from Lake Okeechobee and stop the pumping of fresh water that is otherwise wasted.
